STRING THEORY
STRING THEORY
Are all the elementary particles of physics really just strings vibrating in different ways? I don’t know, but if that’s the case, it means that music and science have A LOT in common. All the different elementary particles of music (notes of the scale) can also originate from different vibration patterns on a string. Incorporating famous string pieces, including The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi, Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber, and Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel, as well as “Cambridge, 1963” from the soundtrack of The Theory of Everything, this sophisticated marching band show by Joshua V. Hinkel features a violin solo. String Theory will let your musicians show off their classical talents on the marching field while exploring the profound similarities between music and physics!
