Joshua V. Hinkel

Nationally recognized, Dr. Hinkel travels all over the U.S. as a composer/conductor. He enjoys working with student musicians and delights in creating new and exciting music for them. He is passionate about teaching life skills, leadership, and the art of music-making.

In constant demand as a composer, conductor, and arranger, his works have been played at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, DCI, WGI and BOA. Josh is a featured concert band composer with C. Alan Publications from Greensboro, North Carolina and Alfred Publishing from Van Nuys, California.

Past composition and arranging appointments include the Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps, Carolina Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps (DCI Sound Sport), and staff-arranging duties for the Coastal Carolina “Spirit of the Chanticleer” Marching Band.
